‘Voters First Act’ Sets The Right Priorities For Arizona Elections

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Today, Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and legislative leaders unveiled the ‘Voters First Act,’ a legislative package aimed at improving election security and voter freedom in Arizona.

Secure Democracy USA Advocacy Director Peter Skopec released the following statement:

“The Voters First Act offers bold solutions to improve accuracy, transparency, and security in Ariona elections that legislative leaders should not ignore. Many of the policies in the proposal have received bipartisan support in past years and offer crucial investments in voter freedom and election security. We hope lawmakers will work together to put the priorities of voters and election officials first when considering election-related legislation this year.

As the legislative session comes into full swing and more policies are introduced, Secure Democracy USA will continue to work with lawmakers, election officials, and community members from across the political spectrum to strengthen the state’s voting systems and protect the checks and balances that ensure free and fair elections in Arizona.”
