Mississippi Senate Elections Committee Passes In-Person Early Voting Legislation
In reaction to the Mississippi Senate Elections Committee passing in-person early voting legislation (S.B. 2654) today, Secure Democracy USA’s Director of Advocacy Evan Preston issued the following statement:
“In-person early voting will strengthen election integrity and voter freedom for Mississippi citizens. This is a secure, commonsense option available to voters in almost all other states. Mississippians deserve this same freedom, too. Secure Democracy USA thanks Senator Jeremy England for his leadership on this issue and looks forward to working with members of the Senate and House, as well as Governor Tate Reeves, in getting this bill signed into law.”
